ONE YEAR THAT CHANGED MY LIFE IN CHRIST
I recently asked one of our newer and most enthusiastic WEI teachers to write an article describing his WEI teaching experience. Although he really did not want the attention, I knew his story would be a compelling reason for other potential teachers to register and give it a try.
I know Dick Towell’s testimony is not unlike many others who have found sharing the word of God and their faith to be a very meaningful experience in their Christian walk and service. I think you will find what Brother Dick Towell has written below to be inspiring.

Raised in a Christian home as a preacher’s kid has given me incredible advantages.
76 years of age, being a disciple of Christ for 65 years, raising a family of five, retiring from a 55-year business and healthcare career, and being widowed in 2018, I wondered how I would finish out my “earth time”? What would be next? Would there be a new purpose? YES!
My sister-in-law started me teaching with World English Institute. Thank you, Jan!
Having time during the pandemic of 2020-21, I have “claimed” 484 “potential students” and found around 200 “real” students. Today I am blessed to have 52 “real” students who are submitting lessons within seven days. I am regularly reminded that I am just a seed planter – just a fisherman when a student I have placed on my hidden student list reappears and becomes a “real” student. God gives the increase. What JOY! And I have experienced results – results for so many students and results for me!
Sharing Jesus every day, multiple times a day, around the world through World English Institute is such a fulfilling experience. This is not hard work nor does it require exceptional skill or profound Bible knowledge. The WEI lessons do 98% of the teaching. The internet takes me to faraway places and peoples. The internet takes me to the USA and my own region discovering people who start with wanting English language skills and soon are thirsting for a relationship with God.
This work has enriched and changed who I am. I am so much closer to God as my “earth time” journey closes. With excitement, I see God at work every day. Daily I help proclaim the Good News joyfully and expectantly through the World English Institute! What JOY seeing God work in the lives of so many people as they study English and the Bible.
God changes lives, even mine as I serve Him. I find students teaching me as they discover God’s plan of salvation for their lives. I am blessed. I am humbled. I rejoice in my own relationship with God.
The past year is “one year that changed my life in Christ.” God is near. I know this because he has changed me! He can change you too! Be a WEI teacher and see for yourself.
