WEI teacher, Kim Doerksen, has been teaching an excellent student in Rwanda by the name of Daniel Ndayisenga. Kim said, “Daniel worked diligently and completed every WEI course that was available in May 2024. Daniel advised me that he needed to be a son of God.”
Immediately, Kim started searching for someone to baptize Daniel, but she couldn’t find anyone in Kigali Layonza District to do the honors. Kim said, “Many obstacles prevented the baptism from taking place. So much time elapsed, with hope, then disappointment, but with faith and continued prayers, our prayers were answered when Lola Crouch heard about Daniel’s situation and took this [challenge] on, made many contacts, and got others involved: John Muhire, Berry Bagget, Teresa Cloer, Chad Wagner, Babara Kee, John and Beth Reese, and Darrell Wallace.”
All of these mission minded Christians that Lola recruited started praying that God would lead them to someone to baptize Daniel. Hundreds of people in several congregations joined them in prayer.
Kim says, “God is good, and our prayers were answered. Lola launched the search on December 5, 2025, and on January 30, 2026, Daniel became our brother in Christ”
Kim concludes, “I am so grateful for my involvement in WEI, and for the many people who were involved and concerned over this one lost lamb. It is a blessing with such work for the Lord. Ultimately, brother Heve’ Mutabazi traveled to Daniel’s location and baptized him. To quote Daniel, ‘My heart is filled with great joy and peace, and I give all the glory to God.’ Please rejoice with us, and keep Daniel in your prayers as he begins his new walk with Christ.”
