Arthur Tatara, a WEI teacher in Papua New Guinea, writes, “Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am excited to bring you the latest updates from our World English Institute PNG programs. Thank you for your ongoing commitment to this vital ministry.
“This year was a good year for me as I was able to teach the three booklets on Living for Jesus at Melanesian Bible College. The Bible College students are now on holiday.”
Although Melanesian Bible College is an interdonominational school, Authur preaches the gospel to students on Sunday in a small auditorium on the campus
“Next year, I will come back and teach them the booklets on Christian Evidences and Who Is God, Who Is Jesus, and The Spirit of God. Each December, Arthur directs a large youth camp somewhere in northeastern Papua New Guinea. This year’s youth encampment is sponsored by the Orouba Church of Christ in Waria Valley. In the past, Arthur has flown from to Lae to Waria Valley in about one hour. Unfortunately, the plane that he has flown on crashed. Arthur says, “I wouldn’t travel by boat because there is tribal conflict between two clans over criminal activity, and it’s not safe for me to travel by boat. I am planning to hire a car to travel from Lae to Bapi and then walk for three days to reach Orouba in Waria Valley, my home congregation. And yes, it will give me an opportunity to share the gospel along the way to my village.
Amazing! We complain when there is a bump in the road.
