As you may know, WEI has been closely related to World Bible School from the beginning. Both ministries are dedicated to the task of taking the Gospel of Christ to the whole world.
WEI is designed to attract unbelievers who want to learn English as a second language and are willing to study the Bible in order to learn English. In the process of studying English and the Bible, God grabs many students’ hearts, and their interest shifts from English to the Bible. WEI is especially effective in communist, formerly communist, and Muslim countries. There are WEI students in 171 countries.
WBS is designed to attract students who are already interested in the Bible. WBS is especially effective in Africa, Latin America, the Philippines, and other countries where people already believe in God, Christ, and the Bible. There are WBS students in nearly every nation on earth.
There is no competition between WEI and WBS. We complement each other. We are partners in Christ. The work that John Travis is doing at Buduburam Camp is a case in point. John has posted both WBS and WEI signs on the building where he teaches.
Recently, the owner of the building decided that she wanted to use it for starting a business. So WBS and WEI linked arms and sent $200 each to John for renting another teaching facility, remodeling it, and making it secure.
WEI and WBS are also working together in Ethiopia, Russia, the Ukraine, and many other parts of the world. Praise God for the fellowship that we enjoy.
