“The Lugoj work began by campaign workers meeting with World English Institute students and their friends. In 1999, a Christian couple, Sergio and Vail Login, moved to Lugoj from Timisaora. Three people were baptized, and the visitors increased. Four more people were baptized, and the visitors continued to increase”
At the National Conference in Bucharest, Sergio said, “Last year, you were informed that a new congregation of the Lord had been established in Lugoj and that eight to ten brethren in Christ, together with 20-30 friends were worshiping each Sunday. At this moment, I am telling you that the number of people meeting for worship has almost doubled.
“In addition to our meetings for worship and Bible study, I must tell you about a Medical Mission and an Evangelistic campaign developed during summer time through the initiative of the church from Hartselle, Alabama.
“Another great joy to report is the program for young people developed through World English Institute with the participation of our brethren from Hartselle and Timisaora.”
It is gratifying to know that WEI continues to play a vital role in planting churches in Romania.
