Watching God work in the world is the most exciting thing I have experienced. His hand is visible in the affairs of the nations, and he is opening doors that no man can open. It was the hand of God that tore down the Iron Curtain and coaxed us into Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. Now, the Lord is opening doors in Cambodia, China, Cuba, Vietnam, and other Communist countries. He is also tearing down walls in Muslim countries in North Africa, Indonesia, the Middle East, and other parts of the world. God is using WEI to teach people about Christ in nearly every Muslim nation on earth.
During the past two months, several men of God, at great risk to themselves, have distributed Bibles, preached the Gospel, and baptized dozens of people into Christ right in the heart of Islam. We have pictures of these amazing activities, but we can’t show them to you without putting these workers and the new Christians in jeopardy. Rejoice with us over these astounding new breakthroughs. The Lord is at work making the impossible possible.
God is blessing WEI with the resources needed to spread the word. Bill Brown’s $5,000 contribution to WEI doubled when Bill Stephens matched it with another $5,000. Thanks to Bill Stephens and Tim Partlow, we now have matching funds for any contribution up to $25,000. That means that a $25,000 gift would become $50,000, enough to send Bibles and WEI materials to thousands of missionaries and students around the world.
