Wayne and Brenda Speer, former missionaries to Albania, recently returned to Tirana for three weeks to renew friendships and to serve the church.
Ellen Walker says that “for three weeks, Wayne preached and taught all the Bible classes. Brenda taught my Ladies’ Bible Class, and they both spent many hours meeting with members and non-members, teaching, advising, encouraging, and in general serving the Lord.
“While Wayne was here, one of the students he studied with was Jonida Sterjo. She’s the new wife of our brother Nastor Sterjo. She’s been coming to classes and worship for several months with Nastor and several times, when he had to work, she came alone. Wayne was able to study with her every day, and baptized her the last Sunday they were here.”
