What a joy our family experienced this past quarter. In November, I had the honor of performing the wedding ceremony of two of our dearest friends in Romania. Vasile Iuhos, the evangelist/preacher for the church in Oradea, married Anca Gilga, one of my former WEI students back in 2003. There are few things in life that are more encouraging than two lovely, faithful, and hard-working servants of God uniting in marriage. They will surely make a great team for the advancement of God’s kingdom in Romania.
As I was looking around the church on Sunday morning after the wedding, I observed that many of the Christians in attendance were former WEI students who had studied God’s word with a short-term mission teacher. Please consider going on a WEI short-term mission. Several mission sites have requested teams of teachers this year.

The past couple of years have been difficult for so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ. A few churches have informed us that they will not be able to continue their monthly support in 2011. It will be difficult for our WEI Maryville office in 2011, but we continue to face these challenges with a confident hope that God will provide all that is necessary to keep this powerful mission ministry operational. As we reflect on the last year, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude for the blessings God poured out on our family and WEI through you. You were gracious and generous in your support of WEI, and our Maryville office was just able to finish 2010 in the black. Thank you! We love and appreciate you all.
