WEI Director of Teacher Recruitment and Training
I began preaching in 1989 and became actively involved with several international short-term mission efforts. In 2004, my wife, Robin, and I were invited to Athens, Greece where I worked with Sunset International Bible Institute as an instructor and interim director at one of SIBI’s international branch schools. We returned home in November 2005.
It was in 2008 that I met Tom Langley and was introduced to WEI. But soon after, I was recruited again by SIBI to serve as their field representative for the satellite school program. Following my involvement with this ministry, I served as one of the elders of the Three Forks Church of Christ in Smiths Grove, KY for five years and became committed to WEI as a teacher.
I began preaching again full-time in 2017. In January of this year, I accepted the invitation to become Director of Teacher Recruitment and Training with WEI.
There have been three major global evangelistic movements in the history of God’s kingdom; Pentecost, the Restoration Movement, and Post-WWII world evangelism. We are now in the fourth major movement, Internet Global Evangelism.
WEI is capable of reaching more people world-wide than there are teachers available. As I am writing this, there are 156 students awaiting adoption by teachers. Of the 156, 57 are Muslims.
WEI is penetrating Islamic nations because it offers English grammar studies, even though the Bible is used as the text. Back in the fall of 2018, I began accepting Muslim students almost exclusively. It has been most rewarding.
Just this morning, one of my Muslim students made a stunning confession. He was asked the question, “What do you think about Jesus?” His reply was, “He is God, the Son of God.” That’s why I am a WEI teacher. Now, I am hoping he will take the next step to be baptized into Christ.
