Interesting stories keep coming out of India as Prabhu Kumar establishes WEI branches in more and more cities. In October, Prabhu started a new branch of WEI students in Balanagar, near the city of Hyderabad. There, he met Pastor B. Michael who had established ten local churches that he called the “Throne of Grace Ministries.” He and his wife had also established a free medical clinic for poor people and a tuition-free school in their home, for children from poor families. Pastor B.Michael and his wife had developed a good reputation in the community.
Pastor B. Michael enrolled in WEI and soon graduated. Prabhu reports that this influential family has now “received the truth and has been baptized into Christ to serve in a better way by using our well-designed WEI study material.” He is now a WEI teacher, and they are worshiping with the Church of Christ in Balanagar.
Six of B. Michael’s WEI students are preachers he trained to work with the “Throne of Grace Ministries.” Chances are good that all ten of the “Throne of Grace Ministries” churches will eventually be Churches of Christ.
Prabhu reports that four other WEI students have been baptized recently, one of whom was a Hindu.
