Graduated Harding University in 1982 with a BS degree in Education. Completed master level courses in Education from 1982 – 1987 at UT Knoxville, TN and MTSU Murfreesboro, TN.
Experience & Activities
Tom taught public school for 5 years before starting his own lucrative major appliance business in 1987. During this time he served as the volunteer Youth Minister for Arlington Church of Christ, Knoxville, TN through 1991. Tom and his wife Angela both served as full time church plant missionaries in three cities in Romania, (Bucharest, 1992), (Constanta, 1995-1996) and (Oradea, 2000 – 2004.) Between Romanian church plant missions, Tom served as the full time Family and Involvement Minister at the Maryville Church of Christ from 1997 – 2000. He returned from Romania in 2004 to become the WEI Vice President (2004 – 2011), and later promoted to WEI President (2011 – present.)
Tom married his Harding University sweetheart and lifelong companion and soulmate, Angela Bryant in 1984 and they have 3 children. Brianna who is married to Wil Henderson of Oak Ridge, TN. Bianca, who is married to Ben Huskey of Maryville, TN. Romanian foster son Paul Troista of Oradea, Romania. They adore and cherish their 6 grandchildren, Amylin, Liam, Harleigh, Arlo, Bryant, and Blair.
