Week after week, John Travis keeps sending email reports about people who are being baptized into Christ at Buduburam, a Liberian refugee camp outside Accra, Ghana. John is the Director of WBS/WEI in the camp, and God is blessing him with a bountiful spiritual harvest. John also uses WEI and WBS materials for teaching people in towns and villages near the refugee camp.
On February 6, John sent the following picture of WEI students being tested over the Books 1, 2, and 3 in order to qualify for the Diploma.
On March 7, John wrote, “I am thankful to inform you of the baptism of Louis Payne, a WBS/WEI student. He was baptized on Friday, the 5th of March, 2004. We pray for more souls to be added through this program.”
One week last fall, Greg Larson (an American missionary) conducted a four day Gospel meeting in Buduburam Camp. John wrote, “I am grateful to God to inform you of the souls that were added to the Lord’s church here at Buduburam, Ghana. On the second night, we had nine [baptisms], on the third night five, and the last day three, a total of 17 souls for the four day Gospel work.”
